Here's my idea - Get a re-issue Fender Mustang bass neck, and a warmoth guitar body. Preferably somthing large that will accomedate a bass bridge correctly (firebird body perhaps?). After some modification to the size of the neck pocket (the short scale bass neck is just slightly larger than a typical strat neck pocket - can't be more than 1/8th of an inch when i eyeballed it), this should theoretically work. What are your thoughts?
I emailed warmoth about if they were ever gonna start making short scale bass stuff, and they said no.
On the other hand - Does anyone happen to know of a place where i can get warmoth-esque parts for short scale basses?
