Re: Gibson 50th Anniversary Flying V
Yup, V's have never been my thing but *that* is truly a thing of beauty.....personally, i'd love to see it with white binding on the front of the body, but even as it is, it's a classic......Lumbering dinosaur (what's a master volume control?)

Re: Gibson 50th Anniversary Flying V
I don't have any pics or any links, but for a very short time, Gibby made the "V90" in the early 90s. A friend of mine had one. That was a cool V. It had a little less class than this one, but a little more sleekness to it - shape and size were nearly the same as the pic above.Originally posted by LesStratOf course, I lack the requisite intellectual capacity to engage in a theoretical discourse regarding the sociological and ethical implications of the absurd and incongruous concept of personal ownership of firearms and the ridiculous supposition that humans are capable of responsibly using said weapons.

Looks really nice but those tuners are for the birds.

Even though they're cool looking, I tend to agree. They look like a design that might be a little less than stable, compared to regular tuners. I like how it retains the clean arrowhead look though.Originally posted by Boogie BillI've got 60 guitars...but 49 trumpets is just...INSANITY! WTF!

Re: Gibson 50th Anniversary Flying V
That 50th Anniv V is gorgeous, and the price on the auction is quite good if the guitar is in new condition. MF had (or still has?) these Vs for $2250, so $1900+$60 is not bad.
