  • Questions about the Stratdeluxer DS-1 mod

    What does it do?

I might take my friends DS-1 for 10 bucks... i'm just curious what John's mod does.

    Compare stock to modded?

    How much does he charge?

    thanks

    Cory,
I didn't really care for the stock pedal - a bit shrill, with a kinda "shattered glass" sharpness

I think John has described it as a "Marshall stack in a box" after the mod, which adds fatness and gain and resonance

you'll have to ask John what he's charging now though - maybe send him a PM

I agree with Curly, John's mod adds fattness to the pedal, making it sound fuller at higher volumes...The bass is thighter and overall it just sounds better IMO... That's not much help but trust me, play it before, get it modded and then play it again, two different animals, one is a kitty, the other a tiger...grrrr...
