inspired by this thread:
i went to search the origins of my Epi SG310 Junior.
the serial number is CI 97014298 (some copy paste)
i got reference here:
so, is my epi a nashville epi?
it says:
Some top of the line Epiphones were produced in the U.S. at either Gibson's Nashville or Montana facilities in the 1990's. These instruments are the only ones that correspond to the standard post-1977 Gibson serialization. Like Gibson numbers, there are 8 digits in the complete number etc etc .. in 1994 the Nashville-produced Epiphones were configured as YYNNNNNN .....
so, can i grin like a mofo now, that my guitar is the 14298th guitar made in nashville in '97??.. or will someone chime in and tell me that it's korean made?
and can you people that have epi's post your own serial numbers (or at least, how many letters/numbers your S/N has) please
thx for any info
