  • Korina body w/ maple cap. Neck suggestions?

I'm getting a warmoth vip guitar with Korina body and a maple cap.

What woods would you recommend for neck and fretboard.
Keep in mind that I might get stainless steel frets.

Here is what I had in mind
    1. Korina neck w/ ebony fretboard or
    2. Maple neck w/ brazilian rosewood fretboard or
    3. Korina neck w/ brazilian rosewood fretboard

I want warm, fat lows, punchy mids, clear highs. None of these should be out of balance with the others.

Please tell me which option you would prefer or if you have other suggestions
feel free to share them with me.

    Thanx

Man, I wish I had mine fully assembled so I could tell ya. I made my decision based on what a few of the other members here (fatty in particular) have said about the wenge/ebony combination. Right now, I've got a korina/maple body and a wenge/ebony neck sitting under my bed waiting for a dryer season to be finished.

anyway, maybe someone who's actually HEARD that combination will chime in.

If it were mine I would probably go with the Korina/Ebony combo.

Korina/Rosewood. The maple cap will provide plenty of highs.

          tHANX.

But the neck does'nt necessarily have to be korina.
How about wenge with pau ferro fretboard?

How good will maple work for the neck?

I'm looking for a combination of neck and body that will bring the best out of eachother. A well balanced sound with punchy mids, clear highs (not too much) and warm, fat lows.

          PLease help
