  • Dating an Epiphone Sheraton

NO! Not like that! I want to know when a guitar was manufactured.

Who knows how to determine the manufacture date of Epiphones? Or do you know a website dedicated to this?

A friend just traded a Carvin for an OLD Epiphone Sheraton, and he wants to know just HOW old it is. The serial # is 1234xx. Can you help? Thanks.

Does it have the Stop tailpiece and PAF's or the Trapeze and mini's? If it has the trapeze and mini's, tell your friend to count his lucky stars, he just scored a MIJ Sheraton.

It has PAF's. This axe is in really good shape, but it has been played (like it should be, IMHO). Based on the info from this site, it was made in 1964:

Wow! I was under the impression that all American built Sheratons came with the mini's. Really, really cool score, bro! You must post pics!
