  • Which AMP would you go for.... ?

Which would you choose... the Tech 21 Trademark 60 or Peavey Classic 30?

Looking to play rock and blues (potentially some jazz) with the ability to get clear strong tones at lower volumes with the ability to crank it sometimes.

    So, which would you get?

Haven't tried the Tech 21. But I love the Peavey Classic 30. Great Tube Tone. It's very organic.

classic 30 all the way. this amp rocks for rock and blues, and gets very very loud without breaking up.

I've heard the Trademark 10 and was very impressed with the tone for such a small amp. Not sure how the 60 sounds but I imagine it would be even better. sorry, no experience with the peavy...

play them both...play them alot...i have the tech 21 120 and i love it...i was torn between it and the Classic 50...it came down to the versatility of the tech 21 and the fact that it sounded great...found an awesome clean tone in no time, and a great marshall distortion and mesa distortion as well...couldn't be happier! but i have a feeling that i would have been happy with the 50 as well...you can't go wrong either way...you'll just have to find a place that carries them both and play them beside each other to see which one suits you best!

Depends on what kind of rock tones you're looking for. For blues and Jazz, I'd probably take the Peavey.

Bottom line is you need to try 'em and let your ear tell you which is best for you.

I have the tech 21 10 and have had the peavey delta blues, 30 watt 2-10. I think for overall versatility the tech 21. I use my tech 21 a lot for practice, it really sounds good. But this is kind of a toss up. Why not both, then you would be set.
