  • what combo amp has the glassiest cleans?

glassy, pretty, whatever you wanna call it

I'm guessing its either a vox ac30 or a 65 twin, any others? or am i totally wrong about those amps altogether?

also, whats the difference soundwise between the 2

I'd have to say pretty much any Fender Twin, not necessarily the '65, although they do sound nice. At the same time, there is something to be said for clean Marshall sparkle. The MusicMan amps were extremely clean, too. For absolute cleanest of clean, though, Dumble probably is the champ. Again, just my opinion.

A twin I think of having thinner, brighter, shimmering tones.

A AC-30 is thicker, meatier, with a chimey top end when pushed.

After all this time, I think Vox is more to my liking. However, with a good pedal, Fenders can be thickened up quite a bit. A modded TS-10 through my Vibrolux Reverb gets really thick, rich and sustaining lead tone.

I've never heard a dumble, but don't they cost over $10k. I played through a 68 bassman, real clean. And and considering a new Fender Deville 4-10, sounded very clean, it was pretty sweet sounding. There are a lot of bouteeks that will get you the sparkling clean, but they better for over $2k right? My Bandit does pretty well for cleans IMHO.

actually i think of a twin as a meatier amp than a ac30. the ac30 has a great upper middy chime while the twin has a fuller huskier voice. you can dial either to sound brighter or darker but i think the twin has a bigger voice. when overdriven the ac30 has a more focused compresed sound thats very nice.
twins also usually have reverb which can add to the shimmer
love marshall dirty but marshall clean isnt my thing

nicest clean sound as far as what i like? a bruno cow tipper, like the best blackface fender tones pure, warm, fat, clear, just beautiful
