  • boss compressor pedal...looking for urgent responses

i have the chance to go to guitar center in about a half hour, and i'm thinking about picking up this pedal while i'm there. my reasoning for buying it is that i have the money, and i have nothing better to do ...you know how it goes.

does anyone have anything good or bad to say about this pedal?
    gear:

'05 gibson les paul studio vintage mahogany (DiMarzio Super Distortion/ SD Jazz)
'04 gibson SG standard (BurstBucker Pro's)
    mesa/boogie 2-channel dual rectifier (with EL34's)
    marshall 1960A 4x12
    and a few pedals

I like it. It's not a standout design, but it is a decent pedal that does the job without a fuss and comes in at a reasonable price.
    Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baby.

It sounds pretty good, but is a bit noisy...I found the Aphex Punch Factory to be much cleaner sounding.

        thanks fellas.

i went ahead and bought it, although i haven't had the chance to try it out through the mesa yet. i put it in front of my line6 at home, and it seems to be doing what i'm looking for. still can't wait to see how it is through the mesa though.

man, i'm addicted to buying pedals now.
