hey I'm trying to decide which one I should get. I will be using it to play at church direct to the PA and I need a great sound, and in the future when I get my computer and recording software, to record. I will probably get one off of ebay and the POD 2.0 is much cheaper and I don't have much cash. If I can get a great sound out of the 2.0 than I will get that, but is the xt really THAT much better?

Re: POD 2.0 or PODxt?
I just bought the XT about a month ago. Its pretty wicked, and in my opinion its worth the extra hundred bucks. You can dial up some sweet tones with the XT. I posted the same question before I got my POD to get some feedback and everyone who posted responses on the thread said that the XT is worth the extra money. I have no regrets going with the XT. Its a killer unit.Gibson Les Paul R8 in Ebony

the XT is upgradeable with additional amp/fx models too. Also, the XT Live, a floor based processor is about to come out too.Administrator of the SDUGF

I have the XT, I have to agree with everyone else, it's worth the extra money, mine was £225 - a pretty good deal over here, I got the model packs intalled too and it's like a whole vetta amp in a little kidney bean.
I've only had it a couple of months but but it is very easy to get along with and the usb recording is really good too!"What frequency are you getting? Is it noise or sweet, sweet music?"

Re: POD 2.0 or PODxt?
WHile the 2.0 did get some cool tones (I used it exclusively for guitar on my last CD) I'd go with the XT, just better all the way around.Hoo Hooooo Hooo Hoooooooo
