  • what happened to the sunn model t amps??

    i dont see them much anymore. i heard they were great amps. had great crunch and even better cleans. anybody have any of these amps

    id like to try one out...

    I think they are not in business anymore. I don't have an amp, but am using one of their cabs.

      Fender owns them, and I think they still sell them. The problem is that they're so damn ugly and look like they're PA heads from the 70's. I think they don't sell very well, even though they're probably better than 90% of the Fender heads.
      If they'd just redesign the looks of Sunn products, they'd probably sell a lot more.

        I played one of those heads at an outdoor gig thru a Musicman 4x10 cab. Damn it was loud! Cleans and crunch were great, but it was brighter than I'm used to. It wasn't a bad sound, but it was twangy. Maybe it was just hte cab?

          Right on! i have a galien krueger bass head from the late 70's as a backup amp, its so damn hideous!

            badass amp for stoner rock with a fuzz pedal infront of it. its just so stupidly loud. so perfect infact that a stoner rock band named themselves after them.. cool band, check em out, if your into that sabbath inspired heavy doom/sludge rock.
