    whats the difference between

335 style (includes like 135, etc)

    Re: hollowbody advice

Probably the most inexpensive decent hollow/semi hollowbodies you'll find are the Ibanez Artcore series guitars. I've never played one, but I've very rarely heard anyone have anything bad to say about them.

I would agree with Jolly on the Ibanez Artcore's - but with one caveat:

I've been looking at these myself lately, and tried a bunch of them out just yesterday at our local mega-guitar store. SOme of the Artcore's felt nice, and played well, while others felt cheapish and unbalanced. There didn't seem to be any ryhme or reason why either. It wasn't because of price. A couple of the cheap ones felt, and sounded, better than a couple of the expensive ones.

So - if you can, check them out somewhere where you can actually hold them in your hands and play them.

sweet_lou - thanks for the offer, but i have no $$ cause i just got my amp, maybe in like 2-6 months if u still have it we can talk

at this point im just beggining my search, im not even sure if i want a hollowbody, but i played oine and thought it sounded nice, i still would kill for a strat, or a tele

what about those differences i mentioned above.

Fine. I bought it as a result of GAS. I am just starting to play. It is just sitting. It is a great guitar it is thin but big so I probably won't use it until I get more seat time. I play or attemp to play the Epi in the picture left. It fits me better with the slim neck and all. The Wasburn HB 30 has great features and gets a good reviews at Harmony Central. It will be here.

            What amp did you get?

Can't compain about my Tokai 335 especially now it has a pair of Seths in it!

Yamaha do the AEX rain of semi hollows - lots of different combinations, mini hums, p90's, nylon.

My hubby has a Washburn J6 Wes Montgomery and thats definately eye candy http://www.washburn.com/electrics/hollow_bodies/j6.htm . He tends to get more feedback than I do with my 335 as its a hollow body.
I only know 3 chords but I play 'em real good
