    but you could use (i think) a 16 ohm attenuator with a 8 ohm amp.

    You could use two 8 ohm in series.

    Is it possible to mod a MASS attenuator from 16 ohms to 8 ohms? Would it simply have to do with adding other parts to change the resistance?

    Also, along the same lines, would you be able to use this method to make your own switch to switch from 8 to 16 ohms and vice versa?
