Butala Neck/Vintage Kramer NOS '89 Pacer Custom II Body Build

I wasn't happy with the fit of the Squire Pro Tone Maple Neck I initially picked up to go with this body so I sold it and picked up a Butala Banana Headstock Neck which fits the neck pocket perfectly - nice and tight. This one is simply going to be a player so probably just going to drop it off for assembly next week.

That said; I've got this one (1983 Kramer Pacer Imperial) coming in so we'll see how eager I am to get Pinky assembled.

Ha! Yes...that is a toe. I've already got a pre-wired Vol/3 Mini On/Off/On Set from a prior project. Have the wiring diagram for the Blower Switch but not sure it's necessary.

Now we're Rokken to Dokken!
I really like what you did with the place, it looks so much more better with that headstock! I think that a reverse headstock would have been a good option as well.
You'll have to report back when it's finished up and let us know how that neck plays and feels. I've been contemplating on grabbing one up for my 83 Kramer V, but I held off because I didn't know much about the necks.

Did you find a proper neck plate for it and all of the hardware/electronics that you'll need to complete it?

I had used a Butala Reverse Banana Neck before on a Seafoam Green NOS PCI Project and was very impressed with it. Nice High Quality Necks in my opinion.



'83 took me a couple weeks to negotiate. I'll post pics once it arrives. Yes; I do like the old Kramers and the Beak Necks are my favorite. '83 was the first year Kramer offered Schaller Tuners and the Floyd Rose on production models.

The man is on a tear!! snatching up killer kramers left and right!!! I have a Pacer Imperial too! Mine is 87 or 88 tho. Always wanted a Carrera tho.. Butala? never hear of em.. I like that neck.. Need one for a body I have. I cant decide whether to go reverse hs or not tho..

What's dropped off, the 89 or 83?? I'm assuming you meant the 89 because the 83 looked pretty well good to go.

Ha! Thanks and agreed; knobs will be replaced with Pink Strat Knobs. The Gibson Top Hats were all I had in the parts box at the moment.

After sorting through "50 Shades of Pink"...Strat Style Volume and Tone Knobs in Pink are on the way.



The Banana Headstock definitely looks better with the Baretta Body.
