I don’t much care for shredders.

But my favorite living guitarist is JEFF BECK.

I find his playing far more musical, far more imaginative and far more interesting than any shredder.

That said, I’ll always give a listen to a live video of Steve Vai.

Or Guthrie Govan...especially when he’s showing up both Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. ;)

You know, I’ve tried to get into Jeff Beck several times over the years, but aside from a few songs he just doesn’t do it for me...

Some of his work with Rod Stewart was pretty solid, but it's not very shreddy.

Kudos to Mincer for Steve Morse... whose morse is bigger than most shredders listed.

But this thread is worthless without Eric Johnson... whose johnson is bigger than most shredders listed.
