Wiring schematic for HSS 1 Tone/1 Volume DUAL 250/500k POTS

Hi,

Does anyone have a wiring schematic for this? Can't find one anywhere and Im completely new to wiring!

What would you be looking for the dual pots to do? Also, what kind of switching options are you looking for?

JB Humbucker, Single Coil, Single Coil. So I want the JB on 500k, and the Singles on 250k. Normal 5 way switching.

Okay mattydx, here’s what I came up with. First, though, I made a couple of assumptions that may or may not be correct:

• That when you say standard switching you meant no auto-split of the bridge humbucker in position 2

• That “Dual Pot” actually meant “Stacked Concentric Pot”

• That you wanted to use a single capacitor (or the same value) for both parts of the tone control.

• That you planned to use a standard Strat-style 5-way blade switch.

All of the aforementioned assumptions can be reversed if you want... just let me know.

One thing worth mentioning is that in position 2 BOTH parts of the tone control will affect the sound. If you wanted to avoid that it would require the use of a Super Switch instead.
