    Thanks Trey. Film@11.
Great! I’m looking forward to your thoughts.

Missed this originally. Gorgeous axe! I have a Squier vintage modified tele. Came with Duncan Designed pups in it.
Mini bucker neck, single coil middle and tele bridge. I swapped pups and put a Duncan JD in the bridge, Dimarzio Satch track in the middle and a Zhangbucker mini in the neck.. Tones galore!!
Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

Came late to the Tele game myself, but glad I did. Enjoy!

Thanks guys. I love the JD, but I've got a Broadcaster sitting here that I'm wanting to try. Plus, too many simultaneous projects. I need to get to work.

I tried the Broadcaster. Cool pickup. A little bright for what I was looking for. Then I swapped it for Rumplestiltskin Black Rope 50's - overwound. Much better. Sounds like a P90 in some aspects. Then I decided I wanted to try something else and went with the DiMarzio Chopper T. The 3-way is wired for series/split/parallel operation. Fantastic pickup and the switching makes it quite versatile. It is an Esquire after all.

Re: NGD: Got my Tele today.

Does the broadcaster have a single neck or single bridge pickup

And the Esquire and Broadcaster are the same right?

The Esquire has only one bridge pick up with a 3-way selector switch with no neck pick up. The Broadcaster has 2 pick ups but had to change the name to Telecaster because Gretsch had a drum set called the BroadKaster at the time.

Re: NGD: Got my Tele today.

Nice looking Tele Artie. IIRC, Daphne blue is the Fender equivalent to the Pelham blue that Gibson used. If the finish is sparkly then it's probable Metallica Daphne blue. I have a list of all the original Fender colors and their 60's DuPont paint codes and the modern replacement color codes. I thought it listed the Gibson colors that most closely matched the Fender colors, but that must be on a list I can't find right now.

I hope the mods turn out well and I'll check back in.
