Nah i think it actually makes a non-mystical sense, because the bend in the lever points the other way... so when you apply force, it's centered roughly over the strings and springs, rather than at an angle

Plus, the whole thing was like $5.32 on some sort of closeout, I needed an FR collar (included) for something else anyway, and it even seems to be genuine
