Yeah I’m in love with MOP sharkfin inlays.
Will change the pups to Dimarzio.
The only two design features I dislike is the glossy neck and the knob placement.
I always wanted a USA Warrior and this was one of the few I could afford and the only one that didn’t have severe chips and dings on the pointy edges.
    Guitars:
    Daemoness Atlantean (unknown Bareknuckles) D
PRS SE Mark Holcomb (Alpha/Omega set) Drop C
ESP LTD EC-1000 FR (EMG Het Set) D

    Ibanez MMM1 (Blackouts) Drop A
Ibanez RGIT20FE-SBF (Loomis Blackout Neck/Mick Thomson Blackout Bridge) Drop C
    Ibanez SZ320 (ibanez/duncan pickups) Drop D

Still has the hang tag from the store and the date says January 2008
Also yeah fair point about the wear despite it being the most expensive guitar I’ve ever owned by a large margin I’m not scared about it losing its retail value so I’m not afraid to mod it and play it like it’s meant to be.

Just ten years and the finish is THAT toast????

Shame on Jackson, I thought it must be 30+... plenty of 70s and 80s guitars with no such issues

You could always do a gentle scotchbrite-pad treatment to the neck's gloss for that satin feel. Soft and fast so you don't work into the coating much.

Man I love that Ibby too. Those and the rgt models from the mid 2000s were real bargains, however I do complain on the fret material, as with all of their MIK/MII stuff.

To clarify it only did that in the last few days I think it just reacted weird to the temperature of the house

That’s how it was when I arrived but it just started flaking and peeling off in the last few days.

Seems more like a sloppy presale retouch, aren't those the brush marks from the touch up paint? ... is it perhaps not actually fully dry and cured?

Some paints take weeks to go full cured and become entirely smudge-proof... then again, if mixed wrong, some won't ever cure hard

PS did you use a polish or clean it with something solvent-based like rubbing alcohol? That CAN resoften a not-quite-cured touchup

Nope all I’ve done is played it normally and it’s flaked off, that being said the lacquer that came off was fairly soft and pliable.
I also use proper guitar polish by music nomad which is very good and as far as I know it’s perfectly fine for it.

                  Yup the seller retouched it.

And either not too well, didnt let it cure properly, or used a paint that doesnt get along with your polish
