  • Hi there! Need some TonePros Locking Stoptail Info in Here...

    Hi there!
I'm looking to solve the issue addressed in this thread.
I'm missing one of the locking screws that lock my TonePros stoptail in place. Do you know which one is the right measurement, and where can I get them? That thread says something along the lines of M3 6mm with an hex head. I really would like some help in the subject. I just know they're very small, and wasn't aware of the issue until recently.

    metric
    3 mm around
    6 mm long
    hex set screw

uses a small metric, probably a 1.5 mm hex wrench

    hardware store should have them

      Thank you!
Do you believe a store like Home Depot will have it or should I try another (local) store?

Maybe. You can Stew-Mac. I would just call Tone-Pros.

When you've had budget guitars for a number of years, you may find that your old instrument is holding you back. A quality guitar can inspire you to write great songs, improve your understanding of the Gdim chord while in the Lydian Mode, cure the heartbreak of cystic acne--and help you find true love in the process.

            Home depot
            Lowes
            Ace Hardware
            Any auto parts store

Cost about a quarter or less

If the other one is still there take it out
Stick it to some masking tape so you dont loose it in your pocket
Show it to the guy at the store and match it up

Also just to mention, the tailpiece doesn’t need to be locked on the post. It’s realty only useful for it not falling off when you remove the strings.

When I need new hex screws for Gotoh stuff I just buy them from McMaster-Carr.
