  • Bridge screw & spring for 78 Tele Deluxe ?

Hey ! I was changing strings on my Tele to try Pure Nickel for the first time and find out one bridge intonation screw and mini spring was missing. No chance to find it back I actually lost it a while before but did not noticed it as it still played well.

But now I need it !

This is a 1978 MIA Telecaster Deluxe. (I call "Deputy" as it is the spare of my number 1).

So anyone would know if I can buy any Fender Tele screws (let say from WD Music UK - I am in France) or is there many different screws for different kinds of Tele ? And this one is not a regular tele.

(I am sometimes wondering whether a Deluxe Tele player is a real Tele player... just a way a justifing a GAS for some MIM Baja or Squier Thinline...)

Re: Bridge screw & spring for 78 Tele Deluxe ?

Pretty sure these are the screws you need
4-40 X 3/4"" SLOTTED ROUND HEAD MACHINE SCREW NICKEL - these screws are used to control the fore and aft movement of the saddles for intonation adjustment on US thread tremolos. they will not fit metric bridges. 20.5mm x 2.5mm. 18mm diameter length.

I can't find the springs on their site, but any Fender MIA springs for a strat bridge should work. For that matter, any #4×40tpi (threads per inch) screws for MIA bridges should work, as long as they're for the six saddle bridges.
