Last week I bought this guitar used for less than half the cost of a new one. Got the 612 in today and it looks almost brand new. Zero fret wear and the bag with the manual, Allen wrenches and trem bar wasn't even opened. I'm thinking I'll replace the black pickguard with aged white pearl one and replace the single coil covers with either white or aged white. I think it'll look cool like that. It does need to have the nut filed properly, so I'll get my guitar tech to do that soon.

Re: NGD - Yamaha Pacifica 612VIIFM
I love it so far. I ordered the aged white pearl pickguard and trem cover for it today. Waiting on ordering different covers for the single coils to see if I want to stick with the SSL-1's. They sound great, but I've gone to all noiseless Duncan and DiMarzio singles on my other guitars, so I'll wait and see if I want to keep "real" single coils in this one or not.

Pretty!
BillWhen you've had budget guitars for a number of years, you may find that your old instrument is holding you back. A quality guitar can inspire you to write great songs, improve your understanding of the Gdim chord while in the Lydian Mode, cure the heartbreak of cystic acne--and help you find true love in the process.

awesome score!!!Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.
