  • If you don't think pestering Gibson on counterfeits -check this out.

Gibson has removed some pages of their weird and questionable models (basically their counterfeit attempts of brands like Fender) history on their OWN website.

I was using it for research in my ironic and annoying counterfeit submissions to them (see other thread)

I would assume the Gibson Lawyers don't think it's a good idea to boast about identical and similar infractions that they now seek litigation of.

    FIGHT THE POWER!

To be fair, Gibson is hardly the first big company to erase questionable product decisions from their own website.

The laughable thing is that they think that by deleting it from their website, that it's now gone. Once on the 'net...

This is true.... but I'm going to pretend that my counterfeit submissions of their own business practices to their legal department -which total around 15 now (haven't posted the all) is making them think...

probably not though -but fun to consider!!!

Gibson apparently stole the Les Paul design...now they are filing suit against Dean for doing what they did...this could get weird fast...https://www.musicradar.com/amp/news/...es-paul-design

You see, I don't get that arguement. The only similarities between the two models were a generic single cutaway design (which looks suspiciously like a shrunken down Super 400P anyway), the headstock design (which was because he used a Gibson neck, and a trapeze bridge. That Appleton App that is being referenced was designed to be a prototype solid body to be given to Gibson so of course he designed it to look like a Gibson.

If you want to know where the body shape for the Les Paul came from, there are prototypes and diagrams that show that the idea came from an ES-140 that had been shrunken down as to be better suited for a solid body shape.
You will never understand How it feels to live your life With no meaning or control And with nowhere left to go You are amazed that they exist And they burn so bright
Whilst you can only wonder why

What Fendery ripoffs? They did bolt on, plank and a neck style guitars?
