John Mayer said that 5 of his Strats carry different string tensions despite mostly identical setups and geometry.
Each guitar has it's own thing going on, some say. I tend to believe that.
I can tell you that my 339 felt way more slinky than my two Les Pauls ever did despite having the same scale length, my Telecaster was way stiffer than any instrument I've ever owned (including other Fender guitars), and my Ibanez SZ (PRS scale) sits in a happy medium.
So try and try until you find one that feels right.
