    I'd at least fill the screw holes on the headstock. The Kahler route can be filled rather easily as it looks like a really clean route.

          This is almost exactly like my 73 was when I bought it 10-15 years ago, except I don’t have a hs break. I did the SAME THING with a piece of black tape!

          After a little while, I decided to do the right thing and sent it off to RS Guitarworks to get the route filled, paint blended, and a proper ABR-1 installed. It wasn’t cheap but it was SO worth it.

            Maybe if it were a Kahler Pro, but that was a Flyer and I've yet to meet one that would actually return to pitch.
