  • NGD Robin Medley

Just finished setting it up, polished the frets and oiled the board and put on new strings. It looked like the strings hadn’t been changed in years and the fretboard was super dirty but it cleaned up pretty nicely. When I first opened it up and plugged it in it sounded like complete garbage and was thinking the seller didn’t mention the pickups or wiring was bad. After putting the new strings on and cleaning it up there was a considerable sound change. Like night and day. Pickups sound ok actually and will probably leave them in there.

I’ve wanted one of these for a few years ever since I stumbled across a pic of one online. Finding solid info on these is extremely hard though. This is the set neck version of the medley with a carved/arched top and the limited edition tag on back of the reverse headstock. Most medleys you see have flat tops and are bolt-ons.

Anyone on here know what years this exact model was made? Was told it was an 85. Also can anyone ID the kahler trem? It didn’t come with an arm and would like to find a replacement.

    Here are some pics

I think they went out of business after the year 2000 but supposedly might be making a comeback.

So I’m thinking the kahler is a 2200 model, which is a swap out for a TOM bridge. I could be wrong on that though, and haven’t found a quality replacement arm anywhere yet.

Sweet deal. I had a cherry sunburst Medley back in the 80's with the Kahler and cream pickups... It was a screamer. WTH did I sell it?
