    Set neck???
This is a 2350, the 2650 had a set neck. The 2350 is often referred to as 'low end' due to needless snobbery, but a 2650 would sound exactly the same as a 2350 if I was playing it.

Based on a quick look around Reverb, the biggest difference I can see between the 2650 and the 2350 is anywhere up to $2K added to the price tag.

        People are ridiculous.

The 2650JB has ebony board and MOP inlays not acrylic. The bolt necks were made several different ways, some were ply though those were usually earlier versions than yours and some were almost chambered the way they were routed.

I haven’t seen any 2650/51’s going for $2k yet but there will come a day, they are excellent guitars and as the MIJ vintage thing becomes bigger it’ll happen.

            I should've specified $AUD.

43 years this month according to the neck plate.

Which I'm sure only means the neck plate was engraved 43 years ago, as to the date of manufacture of the guitars various parts, who the hell knows?
