I just picked up a Roland micro cube mini amp. 2W, 5" speaker. It will run off of 6 AA batteries or wall power. I haven't completely flexed its posibilities but the tones are pretty cool. It has amp modelling, Acoustic (questionable), JC clean, Black Panel (good), Brit Combo (midrangy), Classic stack, R-Fier (major gain). The amp sounds best when turned up to full volume, but the speaker distorts a little.
It has good Temolo & Reverb and OK Delay. The Chorus, Flanger & Phaser can fight with the amp models somewhat; but they're still fun.
Also has a line out & headphone jack that I haven't used yet; but for $125 it's a steal. Great to take anywhere without lugging a big amp or looking for an outlet!
