What's up with the Warmoth website?

THey've been offline for several days now. All I get is some sitename called "adhost". Please don't tell me they've gone belly-up! I need a Tele rosewood neck!!

Tom M is absolutely correct. This is a classic example of spyware on your PC.

Works for me. That Adhost bit sounds suspicious... run Adaware and/or Spybot on your computer and try again.

Check out Downloads.com and download a freecopy of AdWare6.0 or Spybot. They will do the trick. You may also wanna check your Antivirus definitions date. Damn I feel like such the compugeek I am.
Are you using the Neck as a replacement in an existing tele, or are you building a new Axe from scratch??

Thanks for the tips, y'all!! I used SpyBot, but I still get the same website, not Warmoth's. Going to try it on another computer.

loudriver23: I'm building a Tele from scratch. I have a 20 yr old Strat I built and it has a solid rosewood neck (neck and fingerboard are the same wood). The sound is marvelous! I got an itch to build another guitar after I played a real nice Tele at a little music shop in upstate NY. I want a rosewood neck with an ebony fingerboard. I'm making the body out of two woods - padauk and cocobola. Padauk has a marvelous ringing, woody quality to it (makes great marimba keys), and cocobola is a close relative of Brazilian rosewood and is more colorful, too. The top of the body will be 3/8" thick bookmatched cocobola laminated to a 1 3/8" thick slab of padauk. I imagine that the tone will be bright and woody at the same time - really delicious! I built a bass using padauk as the main wood (with a zebrawood laminated top) and it has a wonderful woody tone to it. So imagine the classic Tele twang with a lovely woody resonance added - that's what I'm going for! Hopefully, it'll come out sounding right.

If the tone is right on, I'm thinking of adding the GraphTech piezo saddle pickups to it. Mixing an acoustic tone with the Tele twang should be really sweet! That'll come later, though, and only if I'm happy with the guitar's electric tone first. I'm pretty excited about it. I built about a half dozen guitars years ago (of which I have two) and it was really rewarding. I love experimenting with different designs, but the Tele is such a classic design and tone that I have to make one...

That sounds like a dream Axe CTG.
I was gunna build me a Mahagony Tele, and put P90's in it, but another member here reminded me of the Phat Cat's, I think I like the versility of that option. So I'll try to get that happening by summer. I've never built a guitar before, so i'm hoping Warmoth parts treat me well. Good luck on your project, and your ailing PC there. If the Spyware didn't take care of your problem, you may wanna look in your control Panel/add n remove programs and blow away anythink you KNOW you didn't install.
Also you may wanna clear out your cookies and temp internet files.
I always get nervous when ones PC is being redirected against ones will.
