Yeah - I used to have vol/tone/tone, and when I swapped to master tone instead I was left with a hole and decided to put a mini toggle there. All you need is a small washer. I put a DPTP phase reverse switch there, but you could make the mini toggle do anyhting you don't already have - series/parralel, series/split/parralel, a 4PTP for series/parralel on both humbuckers on a HH guitar...

Hope this idea open up your possibilities
