  • String ferrules?

What, exactly, are these? Do they just go in the body holes in string-thru guitars? Are they neccessary?

Just wondering 'cuz they're on the Warmoth thing...

Yup., that's right. The little round rings you press into the backs of string-through-body bridge guitars, like Teles.

On a Warmoth body, you're going to need them on a string thru guitar.
