    I think that you can get Mesa quality without the Mesa price. You just have to know what you're shopping for. I got a Madison empty 2x12 birch cabinet for just under $200. The tones are great because it's made of good wood. Fill it up with quality Celestions or Webers (I love the Silver Bell, Blue Dog combo personally) and you're good to go.

    I remember playing a Triamp Mk II a while ago that sounded amazing through an Ampeg 4x12... it was the weirdest thing.
