The reason I ask is this:
I plug my Washburn N4 into my Soldano HR50 XL. It's a single channel amp, so what I do is turn the gain up to 11 ( ) to get a good crunch tone and use the volume to get it clean.
Now the N4 does this brilliantly. My P2 doesn't (N4 = superstrat + floyd rose, P2 = hardtail LP/175 cross if you didn't know). I have to turn the gain right down and it still doesn't get it clean. Is this a wood/mass thing or an electronic thing?
If I plug the same electrics and pickups in to the P2 will it behave like the N4? The N4 has a Bill Lawrence XL-500 in the bridge and a Dimarzio Norton at the neck, whilst the P2 has a DD at the bridge and a Jazz in the neck.
Please help!!!
