For the most part I do not get a lot of noise but I have a pain in the arse hiss that drives me nuts. Are Hum Eliminators any good? what would be a good one for a pedalboard?

    here is my rig:
thelcaster>mxr bass octave>tuner>duncan pup booster>mxr dyna comp>voodoo lab analog chorus>mxr phase>danelectro reel echo>peavey bandit 112 trans tube. I use george L cables and godlyke power.

    Any help is appreciated.

Something like the Ebtech Hum Eliminator is to remove or alleviate a ground loop hum...Sounds like you need a noise gate in your case if hiss is a problem..Hum is usually a 60 cycle noise that is low in tone and constant....Hiss or white noise comes from having either alot of pedals in line or it might just be 1 pedal that is noisier than the rest...First see if you can isolate the offending pedal and then take steps to get rid of the hiss...

          HUSH Super C.

Basically just as powerful noise reduction system as the II without all the extra fancy knobs.

The II is a nice choice, but I'd get too confused by all the different options

before you go out and spend money, id reccomend testing each and every peice you use. The mean taking all the cables and plugging them directly into the amp from the guitar. That also mean running each effect on its own. That may net you 1 noisy pedal, or 3 semi noisy pedals. If u wanted to go all out. if u do all that and that doesnt help, just plug in ur board 1 effect after another, adding 1 at a time. at some point the hum should start, and that could point you in the right direction.

the dyna comp adds some noise (at least mine does)

The dyna does add some noise but I just can not part with it. I have it down to either the duncan pup booster or the combo of it and dyna together.

I've heard the Hush Pedal isn't as good as the Hush Rack units. Some say the pedal can rob you of some tone. So.....I'd go with one of the Hush Rack units. ( I use an older Hush II, from the 80's, and it still works like a Charm.....and no tone robbin' )
