ive been wanting to have some pedals of mine, and yesterday i realized that "analogman" is2 towns over from me, hows that for convience? i wouldnt have to do shipping, which cuts 10-30 bucks.

who likes what he does? dislikes? in general, how is he? i know its expensive, but he is one of the best right?

id be getting the bd-2 super mod, the ross mod for the dyna comp, and the wah bypassed, led'd, and possibly modified a tad, but not alot.

Don't know about Analogman, but our very own Stratdeluxer97 has a great rep for moddin pedals, and he's VERY reasonable on price. Might want to PM him 1st.

The AnalogMan pedals I've used are super awesome, so you can't go wrong. He is a REALLY nice guy too. Maybe have him do one pedal and see how you like the experience before sending your whole pedalboard over!

yea ive talked to john (stratdeluxer), he doesnt do everything i need (for now at least) cause of a bunch of circumstances

what is more convienent than being able to drive 15 minutes and be there. i think ill give analog 1 of my pedals, and if i like it do the others. the bypass (for the wah), anyone could do, so i think ill send over the dyna comp, cause if i dont like it i think itd be easier to sell?

msawitzke, what pedals did u use? what mods? how much they cost? for me it was gonna be like 50-65 on the driver, ?? on the comp (50-65?) and i think 30 or so on the wah, (bypass, led, maybe some fooling around). also, i figure if i dont like one of his pedals, i could sell it back to him. id be out a few bucks, but hey, id know what i like and dont like.....does he paint all his pedals, cause i dont like that, i want my pedals to look the same as before

I used the Dynacomp and TS9 and they both had huge improvements. I think the paint thing is only if you buy the pedal from him. If you send one in he'll just mod it. He is VERY friendly and will or won't do anything you ask him to.

I've never actually been a customer(the pedals I used were a friend of mine's), but Mike and I chatted back and forth a lot about his TS9 versus my Fulldrive2. He was very candid about his opinions and respectful of his competition. He basically talked me into keeping my FD2 because he thought it was a great product, though he did think I'd find things I liked about his modded TS9 that the FD2 handles a little differently.

His pedals do REALLY well on eBay from my experience, so if you don't like you shouldn't have any problems unloading them.

is the dyna comp mod that good? that pedal shows alot of promise to me, but i relize (having it all of 3 days) that it needs some tweeking and/or work under the hood to get it where it will be something special, and than to have that something special become a part of "my tone" and have it work nicely in concert with other effects is what i want. that why i want it modded, to kill some of its noise and to change it into a better pedal, it could use bypass, but he doesnt do that anymore, hopefully his mod will cut some noise and tone suck it has, maybe to bd-2 levels, cause that is tolerable

the bd-2, mike says shows alot of potential. i think it is good in stock form, though it is missing a tiny bit that keeps it from being great, which is why id get that modded, not really to change it, but to step it up.

and the wah really needs true bypass, it tone sucks like a monster, and leds are nice.

Conneticut isn't very far away... I have a modded Blues Driver I did myself...hint...hint...

I put a big yellow LED in mine, but I guess other colors would work too...hint...hint....

I guess after parts it probably wouldn't cost more than $25 total for the whole shebang...hint...hint...

syracuse isnt far away, one of my good friends (and former captains of 2 teams i played on and co-pres of our school) goes to college there. but it is far away. if i decide against analog, ill def talk to you, and john again.

the thing is, i dont have alot of money, and i dont wanna have to ship stuff, and i dont have a cc, so the whole transaction is kinda a ***** to put it lightly

the only thing analog has going for him is that i can go there, talk to him in person, see the stuff he does, hold it, and pay in cash right there.

ill keep u in mind (and u 2 john)

The modded dynacomp should remove tone suckage. Should help on noise too. My friend was really into Trey Anastasio and that moded dynacomp really helped.

yea i read somewhere that trey uses one of analog's in shop built ross comp type deals, its totally built by mike....that most cost a fortune. i realy like trey and his tone, and i thnk the comp should move me in that direction...

I've owned both the Analogman and Keeley modded TS-9 and I feel the Keeley is a much better sounding mod.
Also, don't waste your money on the Analogman "Silver" mod, Yes it does get rid of some of the midrange hump that Tubescreamers have but it also loses dynamics in the low end and high end.
I was very disapointed in this mod!
                      It's not worth the money!

im not getting the "silver" mod. i would be getting the wah bypassed and led'd. the blues driver given the "super" mod, and the mxr modded to ross specs, aka the dynarosscomp

I was yakking with Scott Henderson(If you haven't heard him, check him out, he's amazing)about gear n' whatever and he swore by the silver mod TS9s. Different strokes, n' all....

You live close enough to AnalogMan that you might just see if he'll let you come over and play through a bunch of his pedals to see what they sound like. Even if you hated them all it'd be a fun afternoon!

Having a true bypass mod done to a Wah is the single most important thing you can do in a signal chain of effects.
I heard that Analogman does a good Ross compressor type mod but I know that Keeley markets his own pedal which is supose to be very good. I don't use compressors so I wouldn't know on that one.
I've heard that Keeley does a great Blues Driver mod also!

yea, i emailed him and i could set up a "store appoitment", his store is by appoitment only. no harm in going to his shop, talking to him, hopefully playing a few of his pedals, brining my pedals along, and possibly working with him on waht i want done to my pedals (tone wise, not actauly work).
