  • Dremel Tool question...

Dudes, those cordless dremel toold have been discontinued and Home Depot has been selling them out like crazy! I just got mine at Lowe's today, but after reading through the manual, I wanted to ask those of you who have used this tool, a question.

What do you use to hold your guitar in place while cutting?

The Headstock. I really don't like the way Headstocks look on guitars. It should just be the body and the neck I just want the strings to run behind the neck where I plan to install some new tuners.

I'm routing out the bridge space in the body to fill a humbucker.

I use a bar clamp and a rubber 'sticky fingers' mat so it won't budge while using tools.

I sure wish I had my digital camera with me
I started using the Dremel today with the thin "Diamond cutting" wheel. But the battery needed to be charged more.

I also measured and placed the warmoth bridge on there.
              SO far, so good!

do you have a router - I have both tools and prefer my router for pickup jobs like this (especially if you have a template bit for your router). tthe dremel will work but its slow going. that notwithstanding, its a very useful tool to have around

I dont like my cordless dremel. I prefer my corded one, since it has alot more oomph and is able to get the job done w/o tearing anything up, making it look professional and clean. I also have the little router dremel that butnut showed. but I still prefer my corded dremel.
