I got offered a peavey wolfgang with out the stock pickups for 400 shipped. Would this be a good deal considering it doesn't come with the peavey pickups or should I look elseware for a stock wolfgang? This is a usa special btw.

See, I'm just the opposite. The tolerate the stock Wolfgang pups, but I'd love to have some Duncan's in my Wolfgangs. They're(Wolf pups) just too loose for me. I like a nice tight and clear pup. The Wolfgang pups area a love 'em or leave thing for sure. Not a 5150 Kramer, but a 5149 1/2 Shamer

Good morning,
Thanks for your e-mail.
We can get these pick ups for you but they are not cheap. The part number for the neck pick up is 95200001 @ $87.66 and the bridge pick up is part number 95200002 @ $87.21.
If you would like to order from us, call 877-732-8391 and ask for the parts department. The charges can be placed on a credit card. We do not accept debit cards or check cashing cards.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Thanks,Lynn

That price is about typical for a used American-made Special. Do you happen to know what Duncan models are in there? I ended up replacing the stock pickups in my Standard, I found them to be too trebly and too high in output. I would try it with the Duncans and see if you like it. If not, you can order the Wolfgang pickups from Peavey and sell the Duncans.
