I’d be sure to put all those under a black light to check for...y’know...”finish imperfections.”

Regarding the mirror finish guitar above. See how the neck pickup looks like a stock PAF and only the bridge one was replaced with an EMG. I wonder why Zakk or the tech only went "half way" on the pup replacement. Anyone know the story behind that?

My guess is that the neck pickup is not even connected since he mainly used the bridge pickup at the time. That guitar is my favorite of his from that era.

Minus the paint job that LP looks almost like a LP Studio to me.

Same to me. Wouldn't surprise me if it is. It would look *****in' with white binding on it though.

Always wanted a Bulleye LPC but not an Epi the real deal.
Came close but can't justfy the cost.
I put a Zakk EMG set in a LPC i had and didn't like them AT ALL.
Properly restored the SH-5/59 & all the pots/jack pronto.
Still the Zakk Bulleye gets an A+ for cool beans factor in my book.
Likely one of thee most recognizable guitars ever.
Ive always from day 1 been a Zakk fan & always will be.
He is awesome & has paid his dues and then some.

That Buddokan (sp?) solo has some great segments in it.

As a teen, i had that same pic w the 5 guitars hanging on my wall of Metal, lol. I always favored the bottlecap guitar myself.

2002 Budokan is my favorite live Ozzy period. After that it was all downhill.
The former Faith No More drummer Mike Bordin beats the hell outta his kit.
These boys jelled that night in Japan.
Playing in Japan tends to bring out the best in bands.
                      Gracious people.

There's binding on the neck and it's obviously a pro refin, so I'm guessing a LP Standard with the body binding removed, painted over, or possibly re-bound in black. He supposedly played it at his audition in 1987, and Studios had different specs back then. The LP Studio as we know it now wasn't introduced until 1990, previous versions had dot inlays and they even had bound fingerboards from 1983-1987.

Which is why many people play electric guitars but very very few of them are actually musicians.

Coors is made from Zakk's pit stank.
