  • Mustang Tremolo & Nylon Saddles

Hello everyone! I’m back again with another... extravagant idea?

If I could make the posts and spacing work between the two, how would a mustang tremolo and a nylon Tom bridge work together? Tone wise?

I think I’ve pretty much worked out a way to make a makeshift 12 string tremolo on the cheap. If I got the nylon saddles uncut, I could cut my own grooves for the octave and normal strings.

    So, who thinks I’m crazy?

Did you check the string spacings?

Not sure how valid my concern is, as I don't know how hard the nylon is, but my immediate thought was, have you ever seen a wire cheese cutter? I would think you'd be deepening and widening those grooves with heavy trem use.
