  • What say you? Real or Fake?

I'm thinking no way. Has to be Custom as &^%%#. Were there even custom shop stamps back then? And the big stuck on logo? NEVER seen that on an Aldo Nova model.

I would agree it is extremely rare to have a Gibson amp logo on a guitar headstock

I dunno. Gibson has done some oddballs in the past. Looks a lot like this one:

        I don't know really.
I look at the existing meta-data surrounding it.
The guy has a solid history, excellent feedback, deals with guitar sales on a regular basis, etc.
But his biggest sale (that I saw) was about 6k, a pretty far off distance from 25k.
He normally clocks in sales around 2k.
I'm sure anyone with a real interest would be able to call the guy directly and ask for proof of past ownership history and provable pedigree.

I believe it is real. I'm reading there was a run of 10. That one is in really bad condition, however.

I have always seen the Gibson as inlay at the tip of the headstock.

Well, here's another for $65,000 on Ebay.

Lots of detail from the seller.

I say real, but I'd really like to eyeball it about 10 minutes to be sure.

In 1986.....if that had Block inlays (Why TF not?!?!?!?) and a Khaler - they would have been able to sell thousands of those.

And I'd have toned down that logo...
