Thoughts on Bernie Rico Junior guitars?

This is the first I even heard of his passing.
Most who didn't have any issues with their orders were quite happy about the guitars, especially before they became big thing and the orders started pouring-in.

I love mine but I had to pretty much gut the entire guitar. I pulled out all of the electronics. Here is a review I wrote up on my Mockingbird.

To be clear I’m not referring to BC Rich, I’m referring specifically to Bernie Rico Junior which are predominantly USA made and don’t use the same designs as BC Rich.

Besides the obvious scandal relating to BRJ as well as his passing, what are your thoughts on the guitars he was involved with?
