Got her late yesterday afternoon. Was set up with super heavy strings and low tuning so had work to do today to set it up for the 9 to 42's I play in Standard 440A. Got her tuned up and set up took a little over an hour. Had an experience I have never had with any other guitar. Was working on her and sat it don on my bench and hear something resonating?? I was like what am I hearing? Had gotten the strings moving and it was just sitting there unplugged and resonating a note!! I was like holy crap! You talking a guitar that is resonate and alive this one is the definition of it!!
My other white hardtail DC 600 I like the neck on better. this one is thicker and is also a 25.5 scale while the other one is a 25 but man oh man does it sustain and have TONE!!
Guess its partially the woods with the Swamp ash body wings and top but it flat shocked the heck out of me how good this guitar sounds unplugged. It was even better through the Archon when I got it plugged up. I normally find the Kiesel Lithium buckers harsh and bright but in this guitar they sound shockingly good.
I kinda wish it had the same neck as my 2013 white one does ( Kiesel changed the scale length and neck profile in 2016 and this one is a 16) But with tone and sustain like this I think I can get used to this neck! Think this one will be a keeper! Super hard to photo this color as it's a true Candy Apple Red but here is a quick shot of her on the bench. Will get better photos when i can get it in the sunlight.

I like it. It reminds me of the late 80s Carvins. I have a 1988 Carvin bass I bought new that looks a lot like that that guitar.

I have a set of the M22sd/v and just can't bring myself to sell them. Eventually I'd like to get them in a darker sounding guitar. They are super hot and harmonics just fly out, just a bit too bright for the full-maple w/ebony.

Dave have the stock Carvin C 22's still in my other White hardtail DC 600 and couldn't even think about swapping pickups in that one. REALLY kill in that particular guitar. Have Duncans in most of my other Carvin Kiesels though. These 2 guitars I want some thing a little different from.
Here is the White DC 600 live through my PRS MT 15. REALLY fat smooth and sweet tones with this guitar and will get nasty when it needs to. MUCH different tones with the DC 600 than from my purple DC 127 hardtail with the PB and J Duncan combo! more fat and smooth with a edge.just a KILLER blues rock guitar!

    Oh I see now K12.
Yep the Lithium's. Likely wont stay though will likely be to bright and harsh but lets see what they sound like in this one. Looking for a set of the Berylliums though to go in it. Have played a couple with those and really like those a LOT!
Some of the new Kiesel pickups sound darned good! The company started out building amps and pickups in 1946 so--.
    Check this demo out!

Well kept looking at a new Kiesel build and really wanted a red DC with a Floyd and pair of humbuckers. Have 3 DC fixed bridge guitars and a H S S with a Floyd plus a active older DC 400 with a Floyd but not a passive 2 bucker straight up rocker like this one. The build was well over 2 K the way i really wanted the guitar optioned so shelved the idea. Then this one showed up on Reverb almost exactly the guitar i wanted but still priced at $1500. Guy dropped the price to a grand yesterday and I snagged it. I will sell my PRS Custom 24 to more than pay for it as the PRS just sits in the case in the closet since i have gotten the Kiesel Carvins. Should be here early next week. With all the options this one has the Kiesel builder came in a little over $2300 ( the Candy Apple red finish Swamp ash body and top alone were $600 in options!) so I'm very happy with this one at that price!
