Of course not. It is a goofy music video. He was a performing guitarist when that video was shot. If you look at his "real" stuff he is a monster player.

Yeah, I did see that. I just hate those stupid music videos.

I guess they were a little Mr. Big

Enlightening guys. I only knew Mc Rocklin as one of the Kiesel guys until now. Actually was not very impressed with him in particular compared to most of the other Kiesel artist.
I only knew of him from stuff like this.

Kiesel DC 135, Carvin AE 185, DC 400, DC 127 KOA, DC 127 Quilt Purple, X220C, PRS Custom 24, Washburn USA MG 122 proto , MG 102, MG 120.
Amps PRS Archon 50 head, MT 15, Mesa Subway Rocket, DC-5, Carvin X50B Hot Rod Mod head, Zinky 25watt Blue Velvet combo.

When he was with DLR, did he actually use a row of Carvin full stacks (or stacked half stacks, as in the pic)?

With DLR Steve used 100w JMP Marshalls for his dirty tone and the Carvins for his clean tones. I know the Marshall was a stack. I am not sure about the configuration of the Carvins. Most of the time DLR had dummy speakers on stage with the amps in the back.

This is the Carvin, but most of his gainy stuff was modded Marshalls for DLR, Whitesnake, and the P&W album.

I've watched that vid, that Marshall is pretty killer.

The topic is butt hurt people who think they know which guitar Vai played - right?
