I like this guitar, a lot. It's the sig of Reba Meyers from the band Code Orange. I'm not into SGs, but love Vipers, and the reverse headstock looks badass on this.

WTH is going on with the finish?

Satin marble, I think it’s cool.

The color/finish reminds me of galvanized steel which is kind of cool. It seriously needs a Floyd though IMHO. I still can't get past the weird offset look on the bottom of the Vipers so still prefer the looks of the SG more.

I’d argue that SGs being slightly offset looks more like the accident.

If you put the strap button on the horn, the Viper shape balances better, too.

And how badass is that reverse headstock?

Viper is to SG as Caddy is to Les Paul.

                It's a sexier, slightly b!tchy SG.

The SG is prety much symmetrical besides the slight offset upper horn. The Viper looks like an SG that had a stroke.

I like the finish, too. I have a soft spot for satin finishes, or any finishes that are unusual. I have an Ernie Ball with a textured, flip-flop sparkly finish...it rocks.

I respect all of your opinions about this since that is purely a subjective thing. So, I'll offer my opinion too...

                        I hate the offset,
                        I hate the finish,
                        I hate the pointy headstock,
                        I hate the reverse headstock,
I hate the $1400 price tag,
I don't particularly care for the EMG pup,
                        I like the case.

Vipers look like SGs that were meant to be played hard without fear of breaking the necks off.

If I was to redesign it I would have an EMG-89 with a push/pull volume, baritone scale length, and an EMG BTC.
