  • Are sawtooth guitars any good?

Does anyone have experience with sawtooth guitars? Their Americana series looks pretty decent. Seem to be spec'd out pretty good.
It's funny how some stories became historic,
especially when the authors clearly wrote them to be metaphoric,
But people will believe anything when it's written in stone or ancient scroll...-Fat Mike

We have had a few come through the shop. I would say no they are not particularly good guitars. Bodies and necks don't seem too bad but horrible hardware, there are similar options out there that are far better for the buck ala Squier. I am not sure of the series they were but they were Strat and Tele style guitars bought on Amazon

Michaelangelo Batio is promoting them - does that tell you enough?

What is wrong with MAB? He is a nice guy and can play his as$ off.
The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

That really doesn't tell me anything, that's why I'm asking. What's your opinion? (if you have one)

I just saw that sawtooth is having a 50% off site wide father's day sale. The guitar I'm looking at (Americana h68) comes with SD JB/Jazz set with CTS electronics and tone pros hardware and grover tuners all in gold with a hard shell case. At 50% off that comes out to 425 out the door, I think I'm going to bite! Review will follow when it arrives.

I have met him, and agree.

But he isn't exactly an impressive mover of merch

This sawtooth 24 fret super strat is supposed to have a chrome OFR. FRT100. $699 would be good deal if guitar was Indo. If there is a 50% coupon, that is a good deal for a Chinese guitar. $350 for this or a Harley Benton. Pick your poison.

Sure he is. He just does it so fast with both hands you never see it.

Either does the guitar companies he endorses (pow!).
