Man the youtuber's Ibanez is so dark and hollow from processing - let that damn guitar breathe!

To think these nice guys would object and sue REO SpeedDealer.

New parts arriving through next week.

So why all new parts? Just an upgrade, or was something up with the old parts?

Mostly upgrade along with trying something different, but I'm sure the pots were just gone, scratching from 0-9, and only silence from the pickups unless everything is on 10.

I've taken it in for full setup twice since I've owned it, which is supposed to include an electronics clean, and it's come back the same way. So, unless they're just not doing that part of it...

Step one. Locking tuners and toggle switch arrived today.

                      Very nice.

I never noticed just how crooked the tuners were before, but I can only go by the screw holes.

                        Paul Gilbert stole my idea.

                        Albeit with an Iceman.

Good to know he's following in my footsteps. Now I don't feel so bad doing this.

I don't care if he did his first, he has money.

I'm still waiting on some orange caps to arrive.

                          UPDATE...

I took my then empty guitar to the local guitar shop along with all the new parts and gave them the rundown of what I expected of them.

That was just over two weeks ago (13 business days) and now I'm starting to get worried. But, I said no rush and they'll call me when it's done as always.

It still feels like I gave them one of my internal organs for safe-keeping. Like, a very essential one.

Thanks for the kudos, gents. Ah, when I was a younger man (sips tea and reflects).

They seem to be further along than I thought.

Looks like I might be expecting a call tomorrow...
