I needed an acoustic/electric for a few things but, I really didn't feel like putting a picking in my Recording King Bakersfield, I am not much for acoustic and I am kind of cheap lol
The shop had this funky but chic looking Talman TCM50 that just sort of checked all the boxes. It is fun as hell, sounds good amplified and plays remarkably well without a setup on stock strings. I bought it Saturday and gigged with it on Sunday. It is super comfortable to play, 25.5" scale, slimmer body and kind of ergo but don't expect much from the straight acoustic tone. It has a simple pickup setup into the onboard preamp (vol/bass/treble/tuner) that just plain works. Seems like an ash decal over basswood with sapele back and sides, okoume neck, purpleheart fretboard and bridge. It is made really well so...it's perfect for a little beater/gigger.
