I bought this guitar from a friend a few years ago who just didn't want it anymore and priced it for a quick sale.
It needed some fixing up was one of the reasons I got it for the deal I did. it was in awful shape. Badly needed a setup and the pickups didn't work. At the time I just cleaned the nasty fretboard and replaced the battery box which fixed the electronics issue (he said he didn't even know it had batteries, so it still had the original AAs crusted beyond belief in there)
What you can't see is how nasty the hardware also was. The bridge and pickup rings were so gross, the finish was all crusty and discoloured and dull . What I've finally done is take it all apart and refurbish the hardware (polished it up with increasing sandpaper grits and jewellers rouge)
I do have before pics that I will post in a reply, but for some reason the before pics don't really show how nasty it was so just check out how gorgeous it is now. Also made the swap to EMGs with a 9V battery.
Easily one of my best playing and sounding gutars now and I still haven't finished setting it up! The truss rod is way too loose and the bridge needs adjusting. so that will only improve things when I get it all set up . Sometimes these awesome deals do fall into your lap. Came with a padded Godin gig bag too! (Really nice gig bag)
