I have seen several post about rewiring Epiphone Les pauls. Is this only for a certain time period or all epiphones period. I have recently purchased a Standard Plus. When I have my pickups installed should I just have them replace all of the electronics or what?

I'd say replace all the electronics, it couldn't hurt.Teenagers can't sing the Blues. They ain't fixin' to die yet. Adults sing the Blues. In Blues, "adulthood" means being old enough to get the electric chair if you shoot a man in Memphis.

I would (and did). I had all the wiring, pots, switch, jack and pups replaced. I wasnt going to until the switch crapped out 2 weeks into owning the guitar. It's money well spent if you plan on owning the guitar for any length of time.

imo....fix it if it's only broken especially if you have no skills at wiring and stuff...you risk making your guitar buzz like heck......but i would replace that toggle switch as i can guarantee that it will stop working after while.......btw....the reason i say no to do it is because when you plan on selling your epip.....you still gonna sell it for the same price as an epip without the upgrades....Guitars:
87' Gibson Les Paul Custom- Stock PUs
86' Carvin V220- Super distortion neck, tonezone bridge....
87' Cort Unknown Model, Modded- Dimarzio Super Distortion Bridge with Alnico V mag.
Amp:
Bogner Ecstasy-stock Tubes
Marshall JMP 50 watt- stock Tubes
Fender Deluxe 90-Solid State..:-P
