  • Cheapest good mic?

hey guys, I'm looking for a mic so that I can chat on yahoo, jam, and record. I want to spend as little money as possible. I'm not in the market right now for anything high quality or nothin, I just want to be able to make music. I've already downloaded a free recording program, so I got that covered, I just want something so that I can mic my amp and plug into the little mic input on the back of my comp. Any suggestions?

Most of the Behringer stuff is pretty decent, you just may need some adapter to run direct into your soundcard. I am supposing since you want to record you don't just want some cheesy little clip style mic.

Shure SM-57 will get you great quality for under $100.

Well, That's the standard. But if your on a budget shure make a series
called prologue in the $50 and under bracket. There basically SM 57 & 58's
copies made over sea. CAD mics also offer alot of bang for the buck.

Go with a '57 at the very least. You will be glad later on that you did.
Why don't you take your little Cobra Kais and get outta here?!
